Homecamp is all about using tech to reduce energy consumption

I’ll write more about homecamp in another post. The image below shows the output from a cool energy metering solution purchased from GreenEnergyOptions

The output below was displayed in (near) realtime – something REALLY COOL is that you can turn specific devices OFF remotely too!

The cost for the solution being demonstrated was £250 – the implementation took 5 hours for the experts who showed up as part of the deal. They added some kind of (need to read up) induction (Ameter) couplers for each circuit coming out of the mains RCD/fusebox. In addition they provided six devices that are plugged into mains sockets around the house between the plug and socket – these provide the option for remote activation/de-activation of the appliance – all via the website – password protected.
